Frequently asked questions
- How long should ad creative QA take per ad?
- Under 15 minutes for a short-form video ad, about 5 minutes for a static. If it's taking longer, either the ad has serious issues or the checklist is being re-read at every step instead of memorized. A senior media buyer should run all 43 checks in under 10 minutes.
- Should I QA before or after uploading to Meta Ads Manager?
- Both. QA the exported file before upload using this checklist, then use Meta's ad preview tool to check every placement (Feed, Stories, Reels, Explore, Marketplace) after upload. Meta's preview is the only way to see how the ad actually renders inside each UI.
- Is this checklist for Meta only, or does it cover TikTok and LinkedIn too?
- All three. The safe-zone percentages, music licensing rules, and policy callouts are tuned for Meta, TikTok, and LinkedIn specifically — the three places performance marketers are shipping most of their paid creative in 2026.
- Does my progress save if I close the tab?
- Yes. Your checked items are stored in your browser's localStorage, so when you come back to this page on the same device and browser, everything you checked is still checked. Hit 'Share link' to copy a URL that encodes your progress so a teammate sees the same state.
- Can I use this checklist for my team?
- Yes — it's free and unlimited. Use 'Copy as Markdown' to paste the checklist (with your checked items preserved) into Notion, Google Docs, or Asana. Or use 'Share link' to send a teammate a URL with your progress embedded.
