Top 9 Performance Marketing Brands Crushing Facebook Ads in EU/UK (2025)
My last post about top performance marketing brands got a lot of positive feedback, so I thought I'd share my recent findings.
This time I'm focusing specifically on brands spending hundreds of thousands on the EU and UK markets. These are brands with massive active ad counts in Europe — and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Here's the thing: most of these brands have way more ads running outside the EU, which means they're operating at an even higher scale worldwide. What you're seeing here is just their European footprint.
These aren't "branding" plays or awareness campaigns from Fortune 500s. These are performance-focused DTC and app brands optimizing for ROAS, testing creative strategies weekly, and scaling what works.
A note on selection: I personally curated this list of brands that are crushing Facebook ads and launching tens to hundreds of new creatives weekly. Some are killing it with localization, others just run English and still dominate. All of them are spending real money and seeing real results.
Here are 9 brands crushing it in EU/UK right now — ranked by creative volume and spend — with real ad examples:
1. Loop — 14,022 Active Ads
Category: Premium Earplugs (E-commerce)
Strategy: Extreme localization with long-running winners
Loop turned a commodity product into a fashion accessory — and their ad game reflects that premium positioning.
They're running ads in 11 different languages with 182M+ total EU reach. Their localization isn't just translation — it's native content for each market. They let winners run for 200+ days while constantly testing new angles.
Live Ad Examples
Their top hook (used in 114 ads):
This discount won't wait forever.
Simple urgency that works. They also crush it with ADHD-focused messaging ("People with ADHD are not just lazy and unmotivated") and gifting angles for the holiday season.
What Makes Them Different
Loop runs the same winning creative across 3-5 different ad sets with varied targeting. When something works, they scale it horizontally before testing new concepts.
Their ADHD angle is particularly clever — they've identified a massive underserved audience and speak directly to their pain points. The "sensory overload" messaging resonates deeply with neurodivergent audiences who've never seen earplugs marketed to them before.
Key insight: 222 days of runtime on a single ad with 8.9M reach. They don't kill winners.
Hook strategy insight: Loop runs 14,000+ ads with only 773 unique hooks — an 18% diversity ratio. Compare to Endel's 88% (7 unique hooks across 8 ads). High-volume brands scale proven hooks; low-volume brands need near-unique concepts.
The investment is real: Loop's careers page lists dedicated roles for creative strategy including Manager of Growth Creative Strategy, Paid Social Strategist, and multiple Media Buyers — all based in Amsterdam/Antwerp. This isn't accidental volume; it's a structured creative operation.
2. The Ridge — 1,276 Active Ads
Category: Wallets & Accessories (E-commerce)
Strategy: Product storytelling with English-only focus
The Ridge made wallets cool again with premium materials, smart features, and the AirTag integration that every tech bro wants.
They focus on English-only content for US/UK markets rather than localizing. Their bet: a strong brand identity in English reaches their target demo better than diluted messaging across languages.
Live Ad Examples
Their top hook (used in 10 ads):
Your wallet sucks. That's why we invented the Ridge Wallet.
Direct, provocative, and positions them as the solution. They also dominate the wedding ring vertical with hooks like "Men's wedding rings suck, so we created something better."
What Makes Them Different
The Ridge's Kintsugi collection ad ran for 258 days with 4.3M reach. They found a winner and milked it completely before retirement.
Their creative strategy mixes product showcase (showing the wallet's features) with lifestyle integration (showing how it fits into a premium lifestyle). The "99-day risk-free trial" and "lifetime warranty" messaging removes purchase friction for a $100+ product.
Key insight: Limited edition drops (Kintsugi, MLB partnerships) create urgency without discounting.
3. HexClad — 843 Active Ads
Category: Premium Cookware (E-commerce)
Strategy: Celebrity endorsement + price justification
Gordon Ramsay-backed cookware that's mastered the art of justifying premium pricing.
They run a mix of celebrity endorsement (Gordon himself), UGC testimonials (real home cooks), and recipe content (showing the product in action). The "why it costs €1000" justification ads perform incredibly well.
Live Ad Examples
Their top hook (used in 17 ads):
This is the best gift on the planet.
Holiday gifting angles dominate. They also crush it with reverse psychology: "Why I'll NEVER buy Gordon Ramsay's non-toxic pan" — which then explains why you should.
What Makes Them Different
HexClad doesn't hide from their price point. Their "us vs. them" creative shows a cost breakdown: cheap pan ($60) replaced every 3 months = $240/year. HexClad ($230) with lifetime warranty = one purchase ever.
The recipe how-to content serves double duty: it shows the product in action AND provides genuine value to viewers. Even if you don't buy, you learned a meal prep technique. This builds goodwill and repeat exposure.
Key insight: Price justification works better than price hiding for premium products.
4. Leaf Co — 318 Active Ads
Category: Skincare / Collagen Masks (E-commerce)
Strategy: French market domination with mature skin focus
French skincare brand that found a goldmine: before/after testimonials on mature skin.
They're 100% focused on the French market with UGC from real women (especially 40+ demographics). The transformation format is simple but incredibly effective — they show the mask going on, time passing, and the visible results.
Live Ad Examples
Their top hook (used in 6 ads):
Ce masque collagène partout mais jamais testé sur une peau mature. Alors je vais l'essayer pour vous.
(This collagen mask is everywhere but never tested on mature skin. So I'm going to try it for you.)
The "testing for mature skin" angle is genius — they're speaking directly to a 40+ female audience who feel ignored by skincare marketing.
What Makes Them Different
Leaf Co runs the same UGC video across 5 different ads — same creative, different targeting and copy variations. Their top performer has 6.4M reach.
The grandmother testimonial format is particularly effective. Showing a young woman AND her grandmother using the product expands their demographic appeal while proving the product works on mature skin.
Key insight: Own one market completely before expanding. They're not trying to translate to German or English — they're dominating France first.
5. The Essence Vault — 229 Active Ads
Category: Designer-Inspired Fragrances (E-commerce)
Strategy: Urgency, scarcity, and premium positioning on a budget
UK fragrance brand selling "designer-inspired" perfumes at a fraction of the price — and their creative makes £15 bottles look like £200 luxury.
They use urgency like nobody else: "SCENT PRICES HIKE INCOMING" warnings that create FOMO. Their visual style is clean and premium, punching way above their price point.
Live Ad Examples
Their top hook (used in 4 ads):
What are the top three best sellers on the Essence Vault?
Curiosity-driven listicle format. They also use comparison hooks: "Take Baccarat Rouge for example, sells for £245. Meanwhile, the Essence Vault's version sells for £15."
What Makes Them Different
The "phone call" creative format is clever: a phone screen showing "YOUR NEW SIGNATURE SCENT is calling... ACCEPT" creates an interactive feel in a static image.
Their women's top picks listicle ad serves as education (what scents for what occasions) while showcasing multiple products. Cross-sell built into the creative.
Key insight: You can compete with luxury brands by matching their aesthetic while undercutting their price.
6. Endel — 8 Active Ads (but 11M+ Reach)
Category: Focus/ADHD App
Strategy: Quality over quantity with viral-ready hooks
The ultimate example of finding one winner and scaling it hard. Endel runs just 8 active ads but achieves massive scale.
They found the perfect hook — 852 Hz sounds for ADHD brains — and let it run. Their meme-style content drives insane engagement.
Live Ad Examples
Their top hook:
This sound is 852 Hz. If you have ADHD, listen for 10 seconds and see how your brain reacts.
Interactive hooks that make you stop and actually engage. The meme format also works incredibly well — a dog on a train with text about blocking overthinking went viral.
What Makes Them Different
Endel proves you don't need 1,000+ active ads to win. They have 3 core concepts that all perform:
- The frequency hook (852 Hz for ADHD)
- The meme format (relatable internet humor)
- The "no medication" angle (positioning against pills)
Each concept ran 146-168 days with 5-6M reach. They found what works and didn't dilute it with endless variations.
Key insight: Sometimes fewer, better ads beat volume. Endel's 8 ads outperform brands with 800.
7. AG1 by Athletic Greens — 362 Active Ads
Category: Supplements (E-commerce)
Strategy: German/Dutch market localization with problem-solution format
The supplement giant isn't just running English ads in Europe — they've built native German content that resonates locally.
Their problem/solution format targets morning fatigue, brain fog, and digestion issues. The Black Friday bundle offers with "€88 GRATIS" value stacking perform exceptionally well.
Live Ad Examples
Their top hook (used in 9 ads):
Time to lock in on your health.
They also use creative formats like a woman holding signs listing problems (brain fog, tired, digestion) that flip to solutions — native, UGC-style content that doesn't feel like an ad.
What Makes Them Different
AG1's bundle visualization is masterful: showing the shaker (€14 value), storage container (€14 value), vitamin D drops (€24 value), and gym bag (€36 value) as separate line items makes the "welcome kit" feel like €88+ in free gifts.
Their German creative isn't translated — it's written for Germans with native phrasing and cultural references.
Key insight: Value stacking (showing individual item values) increases perceived deal quality.
8. WHOOP — 45 Active Ads
Category: Wearable Fitness Tracker (Hardware + Subscription)
Strategy: Aggressive EU localization with discount consistency
Wearable fitness tracker that's pushing hard into EU markets with Portuguese, German, and English variants of the same core offer.
The "10% off annual memberships" angle is consistent across all markets — they've found what works and are scaling it geographically rather than creatively.
Live Ad Examples
Their top hook (used in 5 ads):
There's still time to save 10% on Whoop memberships.
Urgency + discount. Simple but effective for a premium product.
What Makes Them Different
WHOOP's localization speed is impressive. They launched Portuguese, German, and English variants of the same campaign within the same week. Same creative structure, native voiceover/text.
The "gift for more healthy years" framing positions the product as a health investment rather than a gadget purchase — important for the subscription model.
Key insight: When you find a winning offer, localize it fast rather than testing new concepts.
9. Reverse Health — 33 Active Ads
Category: Intermittent Fasting App
Strategy: Italian/Spanish market focus with transformation content
Intermittent fasting app crushing it in Italian and Spanish markets — languages often ignored by US-centric health apps.
They use localized testimonials and "lose X kg without exercise" messaging. The before/after transformation format dominates their creative strategy.
Live Ad Examples
Their top hook (used in 3 ads):
Il tuo caffè nero senza zucchero. Vuoi un dessert?
(Your black coffee without sugar. Want a dessert?)
Conversational Italian that feels native, not translated. The dessert question hooks readers who struggle with sugar cravings.
What Makes Them Different
Reverse Health chose to own Southern European markets rather than compete in the crowded English-language health app space.
Their testimonial creative features real transformation stories with specific numbers ("Started at 80kg, got to 65kg") — concrete results beat vague promises.
Key insight: There's less competition in non-English EU markets. Spanish and Italian audiences are underserved.
Key Patterns Across All 9 Brands
1. Localization Separates Winners from Losers
Loop runs 11 languages. AG1 dominates German markets with native content. Leaf Co owns French skincare. Reverse Health crushes Italian/Spanish.
The brands winning in EU aren't just translating — they're creating native content with local phrasing, cultural references, and market-specific pain points.
2. Before/After Transformation Still Works
Leaf Co, Reverse Health, and even HexClad (for cookware results) all use transformation content. It's not dead — it just needs to be authentic.
The key: real people, real results, specific numbers. Generic stock photo transformations don't convert anymore.
3. Let Winners Run (Really Run)
- Endel: 8 ads with 11M+ reach
- The Ridge: 258 days on one ad
- Loop: 222 days on their top performer
Don't retire what's working. These brands measure ad fatigue by performance metrics, not arbitrary timelines.
4. Creative Duplication is Smart
Multiple brands run the same creative across 3-5x ad sets with different targeting:
- Leaf Co: 5 ad sets per UGC video
- Loop: 3 ad sets per concept
- The Essence Vault: 4 ad sets per image
This allows targeting testing without creative variable confusion.
5. Urgency Works (When Done Right)
- The Essence Vault: "SCENT PRICES HIKE INCOMING"
- Loop: "This discount won't wait forever"
- WHOOP: "There's still time to save"
Urgency drives action, but it needs to feel authentic, not manufactured. Limited editions, genuine sales, and real deadlines outperform fake countdown timers.
6. Visual Elements That Appear Most Often
From analyzing 17,000+ ads, the most common visual elements:
| Element | Occurrences | % of Ads |
|---|---|---|
| Product shot | 12,642 | 74% |
| Brand logo | 6,058 | 35% |
| Face closeup | 3,206 | 19% |
| Product in use | 2,803 | 16% |
| Discount badge | 2,274 | 13% |
| Benefits list | 1,992 | 12% |
Key insight: Face closeups appear in nearly 1 in 5 ads. Human faces stop scrolls — even in product-focused campaigns.

Track Your Competitors' EU Strategy
Use Brand Spy to monitor how competitors localize their creative for different EU markets. See which languages they're testing and how long they run winners.
Clone Winning Structures for Your Brand
Once you identify winning ad patterns, use AI to create variations adapted to your products and markets. Don't copy creative — clone the structure.
Test Localization Before Full Translation
Start with your top 3 performing English ads. Translate them to German or French. Test performance before investing in full localization.
Measure by Market, Not Aggregate
EU isn't one market. Track Germany, France, UK, and Southern Europe separately. A losing ad in aggregate might be winning in specific markets.
